A professional engineer trained at the University of Alberta, Darren has spent more than 10 years working on major, multi-disciplinary transportation projects in the UK and in western Canada. His roads and highways experience includes all phases of project planning, procurement, design, construction, closeout, and operations.

On the South Fraser Perimeter Road Project, Darren held the role of project manager, specializing in utility coordination and major public works contracts, leading them from development to delivery. On this major capital infrastructure project, he was responsible for construction management across multiple contracts, property acquisition, design and engineering coordination, detailed design review, and contract management.  His role also involved acting as a municipal liaison and consulting with stakeholders.
